About CONTINUOUS WORKSTATION MONITOR

The Model Z107 Continuous Workstation Monitor has independent circuitry developed for continuously monitoring the connections to earth of the Work Surface & Wrist Strap.

Wrist Strap:

This section frequently monitors the wrist strap in order to find out loss of continuity between monitor and operator. Conditions like improper contact with the skin and broken coil cords are detected quickly to alert the operator prior to get damaged of serious and expensive ESD. As there is no resistive back way from the wrist strap, it utilizes the 'Capacitive Alternative Current principle' to search in case the operator is suitably grounded. When plugged in, the Wrist Strap part is automatically activated. Continuous monitoring through Continuous Workstation Monitor decreases the requirement for periodic checks & audits and also guarantees higher security.

Work Surface (MAT):

The work surface is monitored by a Direct Current Resistive loop and a warning is provided in case the Surface-to-Ground resistance surpasses the safe threshold value of 10 megohms
